Try Curling!

New to curling? Thinking about trying curling? Then you are in the right place! Curl San Diego welcomes anyone who is interested in curling or who gets dragged along to one of our events by their friend who is interested in curling. We know that if you try it, you’ll like it.

Curling is easy to have fun with but takes a lot of skill to get good at. So if you are looking for a fun, social way to be active then curling is for you. If you are an athlete who is looking for a new challenge that require skill and stamina, then curling is for you.

One of the cool things about curling is that you can curl from the “hack” (the traditional delivery style) or you can use a delivery stick (standing up or from a wheelchair). Whether you are a stick curler or delivering from the hack, you can still play on the same team. Okay, not at the Olympic level but unless you are headed to the Olympics, friends and family members can curl together regardless of mobility limitations. So if you can push the stone, you can curl!

For any of our events, Curl San Diego will provide all equipment necessary, all you need to do is show up and have fun.

  • Make sure to wear: (a) clean tennis or running shoes, (b) clothing that you can easily move in (jeans are okay as long as you can do a lunge for the stone delivery)
  • It is typically 50-60 degrees in the rink so wear clothing you will be comfortable in.
  • Registration in advance is required for all events unless otherwise noted.
